Dandelion Midwifery and Family Wellness is actively seeking to expand our practice to meet the community need. We’re seeking a full-time registered midwife to join us with a flexible start date. We are located on the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ people, providing care to families living on the Saanich Peninsula. Our clinic is located in the heart of beautiful Brentwood Bay.

The applicant would be joining a previously solo-supported midwife to make a team of two and providing care for 3-4 due dates per midwife per month, with a schedule that includes regular protected off-call time. Side-by-side solo model is also an option if preferred. We provide both home and hospital birth care. Victoria General Hospital is a Level 3 hospital with 24/7 on-call OB, peds, NICU, and anesthesia. We enjoy collaborative and supportive relationships with our physician consultants and nursing colleagues.

We are a practice that is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for our clients. Comfort with clients choosing care outside of recommendations is an asset and commitment to anti-racist and trauma informed care is a must. 

Being located on the territory of the Tsartlip First Nation and close to Pauquachin, Tsawout and Tseycum communities, our midwives provide care to a large number of Indigenous families. Indigenous midwives are strongly encouraged to apply.

Join the IHRM 2.0 team at Victoria General Hospital provided by Acorn Perinatal Society.  This hospital-based role supports community midwives through triage, labour support, and in-hospital care. Ideal for experienced midwives who enjoy fast-paced clinical work, teamwork, and staying hands-on without full call responsibilities.

Come work with our supportive team in the beautiful Comox Valley. We are looking for a year long locum starting as soon as possible, with a strong possibility of continued work.

We are a collaborative maternity practice of midwives and family doctors serving a diverse population in a wonderful community. We do a mix of 12 hour call shifts, the occasional 24hr call shift, and clinic shifts.

The Comox Valley has something for everyone, especially those who love the outdoors. You could find yourself kayaking in the ocean in the morning, and hiking the trails and mountains of Strathcona in the afternoon. There are lakes, rivers, swimming holes, beaches, mountain bike/hiking trails, waterfalls and more, all within our call radius. There is a thriving arts community with local performances as well as various restaurants and stores for all your needs. We have a small-town feel with the benefit of most everything you need or want within a 15 minute drive, including small local businesses and larger stores like Costco.

We have privileges at North Island Hospital, Comox Valley. Our hospital was built in 2017, with 9 private labour-delivery-postpartum suites. We have fabulous nursing colleagues who are very supportive; we work closely together with them for our hospital assessments and deliveries. We also have solid working relationships with our paediatric and obstetrical consultants.

The ideal applicant would have some comfort working in rural areas as we are not a tertiary centre and need to transfer out some high risk clients (preterm labours etc). A strong commitment to communication and teamwork is imperative, as is the ability to quickly connect and build rapport with clientele.

 Full-time Registered Midwife Opportunity: Ponderosa Midwives in Kelowna, BC.  

We are seeking a new team member for December 2026, with potential for an earlier start date. Join us in the heart of the Okanagan!

We are hoping to attract new long-term midwives to the Ponderosa Team. The position will begin as a locum opportunity (minimum 6 months to 1 year)  with the goal of joining us long-term.

We are a cohesive team of 2-3 midwives who work in a team-based model. We have an amazing MOA, who does an excellent job of supporting our team. We also have a clinical billing specialist who manages our MSP billings and reconcilliations. We use Oscar for electronic medical records and aspire to minimize our environmental footprint. 

Our practice operates out of a beautiful clinic space close to the hospital, hiking and biking trails, and downtown Kelowna.  Our bright & welcoming clinic space offers one comfortable clinic room, an office and an additional space for assessments and resources. We aim to facilitate homebirth whenever possible. Our clinic is close to ( less than 3km) Kelowna General Hospital, which is a level 2 facility. Our interprofessional relationships are strong, including very supportive obstetric, pediatric and nursing colleagues. We pride ourselves on having supportive and strong working relationships in the local maternity community.

The successful applicant will ideally work in a full-time capacity in a team structure. We are committed to flexibility, and look forward to discussing a work schedule that best supports both our work-life balance while meeting the needs of our client caseload

Our practice operates as a cost-share agreement, and we pride ourselves on maintaining an affordable and fully equipped clinic. This cost-share agreement is available to the successful applicant who wishes to stay on long-term with our practice.  Long-term positions offer up to 2 months of holiday per year, and regular off-call time is negotiated.
