In celebration of International Day of the Midwife, the MABC is pleased to present Cathy Ellis as our May Midwife of the Month for her dedication to the advancement of midwifery and respectful maternity care globally. The UBC Midwifery Senior Instructor and founder of the Citizens for Global Midwifery Program describes herself as, “just an ordinary Saskatchewan person who was lucky enough to become a midwife.” But her accomplishments are far from ordinary.
