Announcements & Statements > BC Midwife of the Month, December: Jody Medernach
The MABC is proud to present Jody Medernach as our December Midwife of the Month for her outstanding work in policy development and midwifery representation at the provincial government level. Before becoming a midwife in 2010, Jody spent 8 years working in a variety of provincial government ministries. Her knowledge of government policy makes her an excellent negotiator and bridge builder in her role on various committees and as MABC's Vice President. When Jody’s off call from practice at The Midwives Collective in Downtown Victoria you can catch her drinking Americanos and spending time near the ocean with her two teenagers, husband and their dog. Please read our complete interview here.
BC Midwife of the Month is a monthly profile series that honours practicing midwives for their extraordinary contributions to current issues facing the profession and serves to introduce the public to a broad spectrum of midwives working in our province.
