Midwifery Leadership Bursary
The purpose of the Midwifery Leadership Bursary is to support up to five registered midwives in pursuing leadership training each year. Applicants will demonstrate how they propose to complete this training (by providing a learning plan) and how they will implement this new skill set.
ELIGIBILITY:
All MABC members are encouraged to apply; however, MABC will give preference to applicants who identify as Indigenous/ BIPoC or 2SLGBTQIA+.

Applications for the current cycle have closed, as the deadline was December 31, 2023.
Submission opening and closing dates yet to be determined for fiscal 2024-2025.

- MABC will sponsor five Midwives to complete a Management and Leadership training course.
- Funding will be up to $5,000 per applicant for enrolment fees and textbooks.
- The leadership course must be completed within 2 years of the initial course enrolment.
- Applicants will be assessed on: Years of Practice, Communities Served, Indigenous/BIPoC/ 2SLGBTQIA, Leadership Roles, Career goals, Learning Plan
