Welcome to the Midwives Association of BC!
The MABC educates the public about midwifery care while supporting the growing number of midwives across the province. Registered Midwives are a funded part of the health care system in BC and are experts in normal birth. With extensive training that focuses on pregnancy, birth and the postpartum for both mom and baby, midwives are a safe and recognized choice for maternity care in BC , across Canada and around the world.

Whether you are looking for a midwife to provide you with care or just looking for information on the midwives in your community, use our searchable map to locate the clinic nearest you. Midwives are searchable by name, practice, or city and choosing Midwifery care is your right as a BC care card holder. All services provided are covered by our provincial health plan and referrals from a family physician, or other practitioner, are not necessary - simply call up the clinics in your area to book yourself an initial appointment.
